Terms of Service
Effective date: August 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TenantLookout, an automated Microsoft 365 security-auditing service operated by Tech Connect Arizona (“TenantLookout”, “we”, “us”), available at tenantlookout.com. By creating an account, connecting a Microsoft 365 tenant, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The service
TenantLookout connects to your Microsoft 365 (Entra ID) tenant using read-only application permissions that you grant through Microsoft’s admin-consent flow, then runs scheduled audits and produces security reports covering areas such as sign-in anomalies, multi-factor-authentication coverage, inbox forwarding rules, stale accounts, guest-account exposure, privileged role assignments, and SharePoint sharing posture. Reports may be viewed in your account dashboard and delivered by email to addresses you configure.
Reports are informational only. They describe configuration and observed activity at the time of collection. They are not a guarantee of security, compliance, or the absence of compromise, and they are not legal, insurance, or professional advice.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current, maintain the confidentiality of your credentials, and promptly notify us of any unauthorized access.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including tenants connected by users you invite into your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we have reason to believe are being used for unauthorized auditing, or that create risk of harm to us, Microsoft, or other customers.
3. Connecting a tenant
- To audit a tenant you must be authorized to grant the connection — typically a Global Administrator of that tenant, acting through Microsoft’s admin-consent process.
- You confirm that any tenant you connect is one you own or are authorized to audit. Connecting a tenant you are not authorized to audit is a material breach of these Terms.
- The connection grants only the read-only permissions listed at consent time. You may revoke it at any time from your Microsoft 365 admin center (Entra ID → Enterprise applications → remove “TenantLookout Audit”), which stops all collection immediately.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your tenant’s security configuration and for investigating and remediating findings between audits.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of report-delivery email addresses you configure and for ensuring report recipients are permitted to receive the content.
- You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use of the service, including employment- and privacy-related rules for monitoring your own users.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Audit tenants you are not authorized to audit;
- Attempt to access data outside the scope of your connected tenants, or extract data beyond what the service exposes to your account;
- Probe, scan, or test the service itself, or interfere with or degrade the service for other customers;
- Resell or provide access to the service to third parties without our written agreement;
- Misrepresent your identity or authority to us or to Microsoft.
6. Fees and billing
Pricing is $20 per connected tenant per month once billing activates. Launch-period accounts are free until we notify you that billing has begun; we will provide advance notice and obtain your affirmative acceptance (via click-through) before any charge. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time; service continues through the end of the paid period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices exclude taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable.
7. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the service. Either party may end the agreement at any time; cancellation is effective when processed through your account settings or by written notice. Upon termination we stop collection for your tenants and handle data per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. Sections that should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) do survive.
8. Intellectual property
The service, its software, brand, and content are owned by Tech Connect Arizona and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your tenant data remains yours; you grant us only the limited right to collect, process, and display it as needed to provide the service. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or attribution.
9. Third-party services
The service depends on Microsoft Graph and Entra ID APIs. Changes Microsoft makes to availability, pricing, permissions, or policy of those services may affect the service; we are not liable for their acts or omissions. The service also relies on infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) and communications providers (such as Twilio for voice-based two-factor codes); see the Privacy Policy for details.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL DETECT ALL SECURITY ISSUES, BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR BE ERROR-FREE. AUDITS RUN ON A SCHEDULED BASIS; EVENTS BETWEEN COLLECTIONS ARE NOT OBSERVED IN REAL TIME.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data (except for our obligation to safeguard your data as described in the Privacy Policy). Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or, during free launch-period use, $100).
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your unauthorized auditing of a tenant, or content you configure the service to deliver (such as report-recipient emails).
13. Changes to the service or Terms
We may modify the service and these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders or by notice in the product at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to modified Terms, you may cancel before they take effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing suit, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally for thirty (30) days after written notice. Subject to that, the exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in Pima County, Arizona, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
15. General
If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified minimally or severed, and the rest of the Terms remain in force. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between the parties regarding the service.
